Dáil Éireann - Volume 409 - 19 June, 1991 Written Answers. - Cork Orthodontic Treatment. Mr. G. O'Sullivan Mr. G. O'Sullivan 2421 63. Mr. G. O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Health the reason a child (details supplied) in Cork who was examined in 1987 for orthodontic treatment and who [2421] was referred to a consultant in 1988, has now been denied emergency treatment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Health (Dr. O'Hanlon) Rory O'Hanlon Minister for Health (Dr. O'Hanlon): I understand from the Southern Health Board that the child attended the board's orthodontist on 1 November 1988 and was considered to be outside the guidelines set for the provision of orthodontic treatment. Her case was due for review by the orthodontist on the arrival of her permanent teeth. The child attended the board's dental officer on 24 May 1991 and 7 June 1991 for dental treatment. Her orthodontic status is currently under review by the board. Dáil Éireann 409 Written Answers. Cork Orthodontic Treatment. Questions 19910619
