Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Energy if he proposes to introduce a scheme whereby people will be encouraged, by means of grant aid, to install a gas supply to their homes, thus helping to reduce air pollution. Minister for Energy (Mr. Molloy) Robert Molloy Minister for Energy (Mr. Molloy): I do not intend to introduce a grant aid scheme as suggested by the Deputy. Regulation of air quality is a matter for the Minister for the Environment. Bord Gáis Éireann operate promotional schemes to encourage potential customers to change over to natural gas.
