Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for the Environment when he intends to approve proposals for the refurbishment of corporation dwellings in central Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin, which were submitted to his Department in October 1990; if his attention has been drawn to the fact the corporation are ready to proceed as soon as they get approval; and if he will make an early decision in the matter.

Minister of State at the Department of the Environment (Mr. Connolly): A proposal for the refurbishment of local authority dwellings in central Dún Laoghaire under the remedial works scheme is currently being examined and a decision in the matter will be conveyed to the local authority as soon as possible.
