122. Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Education the number of third level colleges of education in the State; the name of each college; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

123. Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Education (a) the number of students attending each third level college of education in the State, (b) the courses provided by each college and (c) the number of students registered for each course in each college; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

The information requested by the Deputy is given in the form of a tabular statement, which I propose to circulate in the Official Report.

124. Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Education the number of library places available in each of the third level colleges of education in the State; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Education (Mrs. O'Rourke): The information requested by the Deputy is not immediately available in my Department.

125. Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Education if she will meet a delegation from Ballyneale national school, Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary, to discuss the urgent need for an extension to its present accommodation; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Education (Mrs. O'Rourke): A sketch plan for the proposed extension to Ballyneale national school has been completed and it will be sent to the school authorities at an early date to enable them to seek local authority planning premission. In the light of these facts I do not believe that a meeting is necessary at this stage.
