165. Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of his 1989 and 1990 sheep headage and ewe premium grant.

Minister for Agriculture and Food (Mr. O'Kennedy): The 1989 ewe premium and the first two instalments (60 per cent) of the 1990 ewe premium will be paid to the person named in the near future. The balance of the 1990 ewe premium (40 per cent) will be paid in March-April 1991.

The 1990 sheep headage grant will be paid within the next four weeks.

166. Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of his cattle headage, suckler and beef grants for 1989.

Minister for Agriculture and Food (Mr. O'Kennedy): A decision on whether this applicant is eligible for 1989 cattle and equines' headage, suckler cow and special beef premium schemes grants will be made as soon as an investigation by departmental staff into possible intermixing of his herd with that of his nephew is completed.
