245. Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Health if he will outline the archival records, contained within his Department, which have been transferred to the National Archives; the records retained and the reason for their retention; if he will further indicate when those records not specifically retained will be transferred to the National Archives; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Health (Dr. O'Hanlon): Arrangements are in train, in consultation with officials of the National Archives, for the transfer of Departmental records in accordance with the requirements of the relevant legislation. It has not yet been decided which records, if any, will not be transferred.
