191. Mr. Bell asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received from Louth County Council the detailed traffic proposal regarding the problems at Collon, County Louth; the cost of the scheme; when it will be sanctioned; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

229. Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for the Environment the present position [1135] regarding the proposed scheme put forward by Louth County Council in order to realign and change the dangerous junction at Collon, County Louth; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Flynn): I am taking Question Nos. 191 and 229 together.

Proposals for a composit public lighting and junction improvement scheme at Collon Village were received in my Department on 22 May 1990 and are being examined. The estimated cost of the proposed scheme is £320,000. A decision on the proposals will be issued as soon as possible.
