37. Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he has any plans to designate the Sliveardagh area of County Tipperary for industrial purposes; and if he will make additional grants available to industrialists as a special incentive to locate in this area.

Minister for Industry and Commerce (Mr. O'Malley): I have no proposals at present to make any changes to the list of areas designated for the higher rate of industrial grant.

I am assured by the Industrial Development Authority that they are actively promoting County Tipperary, including the Slieveardagh area, for suitable manufacturing industry.
