Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Education when the demographic review for County Limerick will be completed having regard to the delays being caused through the lack of new educational establishments. Minister for Education (Mrs. O'Rourke) Mary O'Rourke 2253 Minister for Education (Mrs. O'Rourke): When considering building proposals demographic trends generally [2253] and specifically those affecting the catchment area of the school in question, are reviewed in depth by my Department. Other factors considered are the level of post-primary accommodation available and within reasonable access, and the degree to which rationalisation of provision may be required in the light of medium-term and longer term needs. A decision as to whether and when a project may proceed is taken when a full review on the lines mentioned has been completed and in the light of available resources.
