Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment if he has agreed with Kildare County Council in regard to the proposals for the Kill sewerage scheme; if final proposals have been submitted by Kildare County Council; if costings have been done; if he expects to provide for this scheme in the 1991 Estimates, having regard to the serious threat of pollution; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for the Environment (Mr. Flynn) Minister for the Environment (Mr. Flynn) Minister for the Environment (Mr. Flynn): I approved Kildare County Council's proposals in relation to the Kill sewerage scheme including the extension of the scheme to serve Johnstown. I have already made an initial allocation of £234,210, and a further allocation to cover the Johnstown extension will be made on receipt of further documentation from the council.
