135. Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education if she will introduce a revised higher education grant scheme for third level students in the 1990-91 academic year.

Minister for Education (Mrs. O'Rourke): The higher education grants scheme is subject to annual ongoing review and is also subject to amendment in the light of such review. Any amendments that are considered appropriate to the higher education grants scheme for the 1990-91 academic year will be reflected in the 1990 scheme which is currently being prepared by my Department.
