Dáil Éireann - Volume 399 - 07 June, 1990

Written Answers. - Air/Sea Rescue Services.

102. Mr. Garland asked the Minister for the Marine if, in view of his reply to parliamentary questions on 16 May 1990, concerning the report of the air/sea rescue review group, when he said that the report would be submitted to the Government within weeks, he will give the date the submission will be made; and the time scale involved in setting up the operation.

Minister for the Marine (Mr. Wilson): I expect to submit the report to the Government before the end of June. The timescale for any changes in the structure and organisation of air/sea rescue services as a result of the Government's consideration of the report will depend on the nature of the decisions taken by Government.
