Mrs. Owen Mrs. Owen
 212. Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Education if she will appoint a remedial teacher to be shared between St. Catherine's national school, Rush, and Loughshinny national school, Loughshinny, County Dublin, as there are a number of students badly in need of remedial attention.
Minister for Education (Mrs. O'Rourke) Mary O'Rourke
Minister for Education (Mrs. O'Rourke): To date the schools in question are not among those to which it has been possible for my Department to allocate the services of a remedial teacher in accordance with their assessment of priority of need. However, I have recently sanctioned 30 additional remedial teachers in primary schools and will be keeping the appointment of further remedial teachers under review.
