Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the necessity of islanders to draw fresh water from the mainland on a daily basis resulting from storm damage; [160] and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has recently approved Mayo County Council's plans to lay a new watermain from the mainland at Ballycroy. Work on the scheme is expected to commence very shortly.
