Dáil Éireann - Volume 396 - 13 March, 1990 Written Answers. - Dún Laoghaire (County Dublin) Garda Station. Mr. Cosgrave Mr. Cosgrave 78. Mr. Cosgrave asked the Minister for Finance the plans, if any, he has for the building of a new Garda station in Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin; if a site has been identified for same; when work on the site is likely to commence, when the station will be ready; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Finance (Mr. A. Reynolds) Albert Reynolds 2263 Minister for Finance (Mr. A. Reynolds): It is proposed to provide a new Garda divisional headquarters in Dún Laoghaire to replace the existing station which is in poor condition and is inadequate to cater for the current [2263] policing needs in the area. Possible options for a new site for the proposed station are being considered. Once a suitable site has been acquired, detailed design on the project can proceed with a view to having the scheme ready for invitation as soon as possible. It is too early to say when work might commence on site. Dáil Éireann 396 Written Answers. Dún Laoghaire (County Dublin) Garda Station. Questions 19900313
