Dáil Éireann - Volume 395 - 20 February, 1990

Written Answers. - County Meath Policing.

[2387] 217. Mr. Hilliard asked the Minister for Justice if he will recommend the provision of a permanent patrol car at Nobber Garda Station, County Meath as this service is urgently needed in the catchment area; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Justice (Mr. Burke): The Garda authorities inform me that an official motorcycle is assigned to Nobber Garda Station and that the subdistrict also receives regular attention from mobile patrols operating from the District headquarters at Kells. The Garda authorities consider that these arrangements are adequate to meet local policing needs at present. The position will, however, be kept under review in the light of changing needs and circumstances.
