Bruton asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will give details of the spot price for home heating oil during the each of the past 12 months; the pre-tax retail price of home heating oil in Ireland over the same period; and whether the margin being taken in Ireland by the distributors of home heating oil has moved in such a way as to indicate uncompetitive practices. O'Malley Minister for Industry and Commerce (Mr. O'Malley): Price control generally was abandoned in 1986 and with it the structures for collecting and analysing a wide range of information. At present information is collected which enables a maximum price to be fixed, at wholesale and retail level, on premium petrol and auto-diesel.
