239. Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health the number of deaths due to paracetamol poisoning from 1985 to date in 1989.

Minister for Health (Dr. O'Hanlon): During the period 1985 to date in 1989, there has been one recorded death as a result of paracetamol poisoning. This death occurred in 1988.
