46. Mr. Sherlock asked the Minister for Energy the latest information available to his Department regarding the ore discovered in Galmoy announced by Conroy Petroleum in March 1989; if any negotiations have yet taken place regarding a mining lease; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Energy (Mr. Molloy): The publication of information on the ore discovery at Galmoy is a matter for the company concerned. No negotiations on the terms of a mining lease have taken place between the company and my Department.
