45. Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for Finance when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of a VAT rebate having applied for same in March 1989.

Minister for Finance (Mr. Reynolds): I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the claim in question, which was received on 28 April 1989, has been examined. The claimant has been contacted about certain aspects of his claim. The remainder of his claim has been passed for payment and a cheque for £677.46 will issue to him shortly.
