[86] 103. Mr. Pattison asked the Minister for Health the present position regarding the application for financial help from the national lottery made by the Committee for the Elderly of St. John's Parish, Kilkenny; and if he intends to make an allocation of funds for the project.

Minister for Health (Dr. O'Hanlon): I have received a large number of requests for assistance from the national lottery proceeds available for health services including one from the Committee for the Elderly at St. John's Parish, Kilkenny. In view of the limited funds available I will not be in a position to accede to all the requests received. However, the application referred to by the Deputy is still under active consideration and I will communicate my final decision to the Deputy.
