Mr. Clohessy asked the Minister for Defence the number of military barracks which have been disposed of; and the amount of money received for each. (Limerick West) Noonan Minister for Defence (Mr. Noonan, Limerick West): The only permanently occupied military post which was closed in recent years is Griffith Barracks, Dublin, which was handed over by my Department to the Commissioners of Public Works in September 1988. The question of the disposal of the property is a matter for the commissioners. 1162 My Department are in the process of [1162] disposing of various properties (including soldiers married quarters) at different locations throughout the country.
