114. Mrs. Doyle asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will tabulate creamery by creamery or co-operative, the super-levy charged for the 1987-88 milk year; the payments made to date of the total owed; and by whom these payments were made.

Minister for Agriculture and Food (Mr. O'Kennedy): It would not be appropriate for me to furnish details of super-levy liability of individual co-ops or dairies.

The total levy liability for the country for the quota year 1987-88 amounted to £2.7 million. Of this amount the sum of £1.6 million has been paid to date. Arrangements are being made for the recovery of the balance outstanding.
