Mr. McCartan asked the Minister for Social Welfare if a site allocated at [125] Greendale Shopping Centre, Kilbarrack, Dublin 5, for a social welfare information/drop-in centre will be used for this purpose or if it is to be used as an employment exchange; if it is to be used as an employment exchange, the area for which it will cater; when it is expected to open; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Social Welfare (Dr. Woods): The proposed new office at Kilbarrack shopping centre, Greendale Road, Dublin 5, will provide a full range of services of the Department, including an employment exchange service.

The new office is expected to open in the final quarter of this year and will cater for a catchment area drawn from the postal districts of Dublin 5 and 13.
