184. Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Education if she has received an application from a school (details supplied) in County Donegal for a refund of rent paid for a prefabricated classroom; and the [1709] present position regarding the provision of a permanent extension for this school.

Minister for Education (Mrs. O'Rourke): My Department will be writing shortly to the chairperson of the Board of Management of the school referred to regarding the question of a refund of the cost of renting temporary accommodation.

Tender documents are being prepared for the provision of an extension to the school and these will be completed as early as possible. The question of the invitation of tenders for the project will then arise for consideration and a decision will be conveyed to the school authorities at that point.
