[1682] 136. Mr. J. Fahey asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in having a person (details supplied) in County Waterford called for a driving test appointment despite the fact that the original appointment for 7 September 1988 was cancelled; and if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the outcome of the driving test is urgently awaited by a future employer.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Flynn): The delay in this case was due to an oversight and is regretted. A test has been arranged for 6 March and the applicant so informed.
