50. Mr. Barry asked the Taoiseach the number of people who registered as unemployed in (a) Cork city and (b) Cork county on 31 December, in (i) 1986, (ii) 1987 and (iii) 1988.

The Taoiseach: The number of persons on the live register at Cork City employment exchange for the dates in question are as follows: 2 January 1987, 13,167; 31 December 1987, 13,824; 30 December 1988, 13,921.
