212. Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Health if he will give details of national lottery funds allocated by her Department in Waterford city and county in (a) 1987 and (b) 1988; if she will specify the recipients and amounts in each instance; and if she will list (a) those applications which are not approved for grant-aid and (b) those which are at present being processed.

Minister for Health (Dr. O'Hanlon): I have to date allocated a total of £76,000 from the 1987-1988 health allocation of the national lottery proceeds to projects in Waterford City and County. Details are as follows:

2. Provision of AIDS/STD services in Waterford	30,000
3. Purchase of a speech aid for handicapped children, Waterford	6,000
	76,000

Applications for national lottery grants are a matter between my Department and the applicants and I do not consider it appropriate to publicise details of such applications. However, if the Deputy has a specific query regarding a particular application I will be glad to advise him of the position.
