44. Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education the plans she has for the provision of modern alternative accommodation for the staff and students of St. Garvan's vocational school, Great Denmark Street, Dublin 1, which is in a rundown condition.

Minister for Education (Mrs. O'Rourke): It is proposed that alternative accommodation for St. Garvan's vocational school will be provided by the north inner city community college to be built at Seán McDermott Street.

Construction of the proposed college is subject, in the first instance, to the availability of the necessary capital resources and to the agreement of the City of Dublin Vocational Education Committee to certain conditions laid down by my Department in this connection.
