181. Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Energy the reason payment of a forestry pension has not been made to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

Minister for Energy (Mr. R. Burke): The person in question, having ceased his employment in 1967, did not qualify for a pension as he was not in the Department's employment on 1 January 1970 when the pension scheme was introduced for non-established employees.
