76. Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Finance when a depth survey was last carried out on the entrance to Westport harbour, County Mayo; if he has any proposals to carry out dredging there; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Finance (Mr. MacSharry): A survey to determine the extent of dredging necessary in the fairway at Westport Harbour was undertaken in 1953/54. There are no plans to dredge Westport Harbour.
