108. Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the sectors of [1135] education which qualify for the free milk scheme; if this could be extended to voluntary community pre-schools; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Agriculture and Food (Mr. O'Kennedy): Under the EC school milk scheme operated by my Department school children and students regularly attending a school of any grade or category including nursery schools but excluding university and comparable institutes may benefit from subsidised milk. Voluntary community pre-schools are eligible and are participating in the scheme.
