129. Mr. Sherlock asked the Minister for Health if he will make a statement on the future of Barringtons Hospital, Limerick, in the light of the Dáil vote on a Private Members' Motion on 17 February, directing him to rescind the proposal to close the hospital.

Minister for Health (Dr. O'Hanlon): I am considering the position in the light of the Dáil vote on a Private Members' Motion on 17 February last and in the light of the need to develop the acute hospital service in Limerick.
