Dáil Éireann - Volume 378 - 23 February, 1988 Written Answers. - Public Health Nursing Course. Mr. Keating Mr. Keating 613 [613] 123. Mr. Keating asked the Minister for Health if he will make a statement regarding the provision of the Diploma in the Public Health Nursing Course in University College, Dublin; whether the course is being provided at present, and will be in future; if not, the reason; and whether his Department intends to intervene financially in this context. Minister for Health (Dr. O'Hanlon) Rory O'Hanlon Minister for Health (Dr. O'Hanlon): There is a course in progress at present in University College, Dublin for the award of the Diploma in Public Health Nursing. The college has advertised places on a course to commence next autumn. The decision on whether the course will proceed will depend on the demand for places. I have no reason, at present, to expect that the course will not proceed. While I am not involved in the financing of the course the health boards through sponsorship of students may contribute indirectly to financing. Dáil Éireann 378 Written Answers.
