17. Mr. Kavanagh asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the way in which it is proposed to spend the £168,000 allocated for the establishment of An Bord Glas; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

[2501] Minister for Agriculture and Food (Mr. O'Kennedy): The allocation of £168,000 in the Estimates for An Bord Glas for 1988 was provided on the basis that the statutory board will not be operational for the full year. The allocation is to cover administration expenses as well as any other activities such as market development work as may be decided on by the board.
