Minister for Health (Dr. O'Hanlon) Rory O'Hanlon
Minister for Health (Dr. O'Hanlon): The number employed in the delivery of community care services in each health board in 1986 and at present (30 June 1987) for the following categories was as follows:
*These figures do not include doctors in the general medical services scheme.
†This is the total figure for social workers in health boards. It is not possible to provide a breakdown as many social workers based in hospitals are also employed on community work.
The numbers of home helps employed fluctuates considerably and it is not practicable for my Department to keep an ongoing record of their deployment.
