Mr. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason the audit section of his Department deemed that a person (details supplied) in County Limerick was ineligible for the reduced interest subsidy scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Agriculture and Food (Mr. O'Kennedy) Michael O'Kennedy Minister for Agriculture and Food (Mr. O'Kennedy): Following an audit examination, the lending institutions concerned were notified that the Exchequer contribution would not be paid to them in this case because the person concerned was deemed not to be in severe financial difficulty and because his net assets were deemed to be in excess of the limit of £200,000.
