28. Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Finance the number of copies of the Programme for National Recovery which were printed; the names of the printers; the cost involved; the manner in which they were distributed; and the names of those to whom they were distributed.

Minister for Finance (Mr. MacSharry): Six thousand copies of the Programme [1486] for National Recovery were printed by Messrs. Cahills Printers at a cost of £3,900. These copies were distributed by the Stationery Office to Government Departments/Offices including the Government Information Services and Leinster House (2,500) and the Government Publications Sales Office (3,500). In addition, the Irish Congress of Trade Unions had 250,000 copies of the programme re-printed at their own expense for distribution to their members.
