67. Mr. Hilliard asked the Taoiseach the estimated amount that his Department will pay to Telecom Éireann and An Post during 1987 for services rendered; if it is possible to make savings in these areas of expenditure; and if he will give the corresponding figures for the 1986 outturn.

The Taoiseach: The estimated amounts that the Department of the Taoiseach will pay to Telecom Éireann and An Post during 1987 for services rendered are £135,000 and £47,000 respectively. The 1986 outturn of expenditure to Telecom Éireann and An Post amounted to £125,000 and £47,000. Every effort will be made to achieve savings in these areas of expenditure where feasible.
