146. Mr. Browne asked the Minister for Labour the reason for delay in payment of a redundancy claim to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

Minister for Labour (Mr. B. Ahern): The application for payment of redundancy lump sum in respect of the person in question was received by my Department only on 15 June 1987 from the receiver of the company concerned. The application is now being processed by the Department with a view to payment this week to the employee from the redundancy and employers' insolvency fund.
