140. Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for the Environment if it is proposed to proceed this year with the planned major road development on the Sligo-Dublin road which includes a bypass of Ballisodare and Collooney, County Sligo; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Flynn): I understand that a compulsory purchase order will be necessary in respect of land required for this scheme and that such an order is at present being prepared by the local authority.
