Mrs. Hussey asked the Minister for Education if she will immediately proceed with the building of the Waterford school project which has been awaiting sanction since the change of Government, in view of the urgently needed confirmation of the position; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Education (Mrs. O'Rourke): The position is that my Department is awaiting further information from the promoters of the Waterford school project regarding their application for sanction to establish a multi-denominational school in Waterford city.
