Written Answers. - Clondalkin (Dublin) Community College.

263. Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the fact that Collinstown Park Community College, Ronanstown, Clondalkin, County Dublin, serves a seriously disadvantaged area; if she is further aware of the severe effects of recently imposed cutbacks; if, in view of the particular circumstances of this [2238] school, and this area she will make provision to ensure reasonably adequate provision for the College; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Education (Mrs. O'Rourke): I am satisfied that the resources allocated by my Department to Vocational Education Committees this year are sufficient to enable them to make reasonably adequate provision for the education needs of the pupils in their respective areas.

The allocation of funds to individual schools in the vocational sector is a matter for the Vocational Education Committee concerned, which in this case is the County Dublin VEC.
