Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister [1146] for Education when it is envisaged that negotiations will be finalised in relation to the provision of post-primary education facilities in Trim, County Meath; if she intends putting a time limit on the negotiations; and if she will make a statement of the matter.

Minister for Education (Mrs. O'Rourke): It is not possible to say when negotiations will be finalised in relation to the prevision of post-primary education facilities in Trim. The Deputy will appreciate that such discussions are of a very delicate nature and while I am aware that there is urgency in the matter, I do not propose to set a time limit on the negotiations at this stage.
