22. Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Education when work will commence on the approved extension to Ballaghaderreen vocational school, County Roscommon; the likely completion date; the cost of the planned extension; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Education (Mrs. O'Rourke): My Department awaits submission of bills of quantities by the County Roscommon Vocational Education Committee for this extension which will cost in the region of £600,000 to design, build, furnish and equip. It is not possible at this stage to say when construction will begin or be completed. The rate at which this project, as with [1112] all capital projects, can proceed will be subject to review in the context of the capital resources available.
