461. Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Education when final approval will be given and works will commence on the extension to a primary school (details supplied) on the border of counties Carlow-Wexford.

Minister for Education (Mr. Cooney): Sketch plans for the extension to the school referred to by the Deputy have been approved and a grant was formally sanctioned on 23 July 1986 towards the project. Contract documents are now in course of preparation. It is not possible at this stage to say when work on the extension will commence.
