Gallagher asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding national schools (details supplied) in County Donegal awaiting reconstruction, extension or replacement. Minister for Education (Mr. Cooney) Minister for Education (Mr. Cooney) 258 Minister for Education (Mr. Cooney): The position with regard to the ten County Donegal national schools referred to in the Deputy's question is as follows: in two cases (Commons, Alt) building grants have not yet been sanctioned although the applications have been accepted in principle for grant [258] scheme purposes, in four cases (Lettermacaward, Convoy, Fintra, Drumkeen) the contract documents are in course of preparation, in three cases (Dore, Niall Mór, Belcruit) the question of inviting tenders is now arising for consideration and in the remaining case (Ballydevitt) the question of preparing a contract is about to arise for consideration.
