73. Mr. Noonan (Limerick West) asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

Minister of State at the Department of the Environment (Mr. O'Sullivan): There is no record of the receipt in my Department of an application for a new house grant from the person named.

74. Mr. Noonan (Limerick West) asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

Minister of State at the Department of the Environment (Mr. O'Sullivan): A new house grant will be paid in this case when a final inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and that all the conditions of the grant scheme have been fulfilled. A recent inspection established that further work had to be carried out and that the applicant was not in occupation of the house as his normal place of residence.

75. Mrs. Taylor-Quinn asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a pre-inspection has not yet taken place for a person (details supplied) in County Clare for the purpose of availing of a home improvement grant; and when this inspection will take place.

Minister of State at the Department of the Environment (Mr. O'Sullivan): This application was among those covered by the dispensation from the prior inspection requirement and the applicant was [972] authorised to proceed with the work in respect of which the application was made subject to the conditions of the scheme (other than the prior inspection requirement) applicable when she applied for grant. However, as requested by the applicant, an inspection will be carried out within the next few weeks.

76. Mr. Connolly asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange a house improvement grant inspection for a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

Minister of State at the Department of the Environment (Mr. O'Sullivan): This application was among those covered by the dispensation from the prior inspection requirement and notification issued to the applicant authorising her to proceed with the work in respect of which her application was made subject to the conditions of the scheme (other than the prior inspection requirement) applicable when she applied for the grant. However, following a request from the applicant an inspection will be carried out within a few weeks.

83. Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for the Environment when a house inspection for new house grant purposes will be carried out for person (details supplied) in County Mayo.
