[387] 82. Mr. H. Byrne asked the Minister for Communications if he will meet as a matter of urgency with the Rosslare Harbour Development Committee regarding the development of Rosslare Harbour; and if he will make a statement on previous requests for such a meeting.

Minister for Communications (Mr. J. Mitchell): Since taking up office, I have met with the Rosslare Harbour Development Committee on three occasions. I have visited Rosslare Harbour on two occasions and continue to have regular discussions with local Oireachtas representatives about the development of the harbour. I am aware that the Rosslare Harbour Development Committee have been anxious to have a further meeting [388] with me. This will be considered at the appropriate time. Meanwhile, officials of my Department are readily available to meet representatives of the Rosslare Harbour Development Committee.
