Suspension of Member.

An Ceann Comhairle: I name Deputy Allen and I ask the Minister for the Environment to move that he be suspended from the service of the Dáil.

Mr. Allen: That is disgraceful.

An Ceann Comhairle: Will the Minister please move that Deputy Allen be suspended from the service of the Dáil?

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Kavanagh): I move:

That Deputy Allen be suspended from the service of the Dáil.

Mr. McGahon: I wish to support Deputy Allen.

An Ceann Comhairle: I am putting the question that Deputy Allen be suspended from the service of the Dáil.

Mr. Allen: Votáil.

Division bells rang.

An Ceann Comhairle: I have a discretion under Standing Orders to put the question again and I propose to exercise that discretion and put the question again. The question is: “That Deputy [2377] Bernard Allen be suspended from the service of the Dáil”.
